Adair County Health System added Cardiac Rehabilitation in 2009 with the new addition and renovation.  We are pleased to offer this service to our community. 

Cardiac Rehab is a supervised and individualized program designed to help you improve your health and decrease your cardiac risk factors. This happens after you are discharged from the hospital from open heart surgery or a heart attack. It includes education on medication, diet, stress management, smoking and other heart disease topics. Sessions are usually 2-3 times per week involving exercise, strength training and education.

C.A.R.E + Program Cardiac and Rehabilitation Exercise Plus is a fitness program designed to improve your health and decrease your risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease.  This program is for anyone who wants to improve their activity level.  Insurance does NOT cover this service.  Sessions are $5 per session or $55 for twelve sessions

 

Pulmonary Rehabis a supervised and individualized respiratory program for people with chronic lung disease or shortness of breath. It includes education in medication, diet, stress, smoking and other respiratory topics. Sessions are usually 2-3 times per week involving exercise, strength training, education and methods of coping with the disease process.
