Adair County Health System added Cardiac Rehabilitation in 2009 with the new addition and renovation.  We are pleased to offer this service to our community. 

Cardiac Rehab is a supervised and individualized program design to help you improve your health and decrease your cardiac risk factors. It takes place after you are discharged from the hospital from open heart surgery or a heart attack. It includes education on medication, diet, stress management, smoking and other heart disease topics. Sessions are usually 2-3 times per week involving exercise, strength training and education.

C.A.R.E + Program Cardiac and Rehabilitation Exercise Plus is a fitness program to improve your health and decrease you risk factors for developing cardiovascular disease.  This program is for anyone who want to improve their activity level.  Insurance does NOT cover this service.  Sessions are $5 per session $55 for twelve sessions. 

Pulmonary Rehab Is a supervised and individualized respiratory program for people with chronic lung disease or shortness of breath. It includes education in medication, diet, stress, smoking and other respiratory topics. Sessions are usually 2-3 times per week involving exercise, strength training, education and methods of coping with the disease process.
